from the Office of New Church Development & Transformation

The Bishop's Capital Campaign

$5M ~ June 2007 - May 2011

CAMPAIGN FOCUS

1. Financial Support for New Church Development Pastors (Salary & Benefits) - to include compensation and associated benefits.

2. Education, Training and Assessment for Potential New Church Development Pastors and Lay Teams - to include family health & wellness support, coaching, training, retreats and renewal.

3. Land Acquisition - to provide financial support for an initial down payment on land. (We welcome the gift of land and prefer non-designated donations which can be used for the purchase of land at a needed site.) The goal is to purchase (or receive as a gift) 10 acres of land or more for each church although less acreage will be considered depending upon the situation.

4. Resources for New Church "Starter Kits" - chairs, AV, worship resources, technology, childcare equipment and trailer for potential new churches, etc.

GREETINGS! from the Church Library
St. John’s wants to revitalize the library. Visit us Sunday, before/after the services, to see our work in progress. Unfortunately, a large percentage of our books are yellowed, old, and/or damaged and need to be replaced. We need current bible study books, motivational books, fiction/non-fiction selections that are Christian centered, and children’s books. We would appreciate your help. Please leave your books at the office or the library.
If you are interested in helping with this project, call Judy Dutson at 993-1501
for more information. Thank you.

MEMORIAL GIFTS

Gifts given in memory or in honor of family members, friends, and programs are placed in St. John’s Memorial Fund. Several funds exist--Choir, Scholarship, Building, and General--which greatly benefit the church and congregation. Be sure to designate which fund should receive your gift. Gifts to the Memorial Fund are noted in Steeple Notes but may also be given anonymously, if desired by the donor.
