John Elford, Senior Pastor

Pastor John Elford was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He graduated from the University of Toronto and Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia, then attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas for further graduate work. He served as Associate Pastor/Music Director at Wesley UMC-Harlingen and First UMC-San Angelo, and as Senior Pastor at John Wesley UMC-Victoria, before coming to St. John's in June, 2002.

He and Linda have been married since 1983 and have two teenage children, Chris and Lauren. In his spare time, John enjoys golf, chess and working on cars.

Linda Elford, Associate Pastor

Pastor Linda Elford is a native Texan, growing up in Abilene and Austin. She graduated from UT Austin with a degree in Journalism, then from Perkins School of Theology at SMU. She has served as Associate Pastor at First UMC-Harlingen, Pastor of First UMC-Donna, and Associate Pastor at Sierra Vista UMC-San Angelo. She and John have worked as co-pastors at John Wesley UMC-Victoria and now at St. John's.

Besides spending time with John, Chris and Lauren, Linda enjoys reading and traveling.
