It's funny how "in the natural" we don't
want to do anything unless we know were we are going. We want to know
step 1,2,3,4,5.................but God doesn't work that way. That is
why we are required to "have faith" He wants us to take a step into the
water BEFORE he makes them part. He wants us to trust him and take a
step................without knowing where He will take us. In all
actuality that "step" of faith should be easy consider "who" we are
stepping out with.........but it's not.
The day I grabbed our church's hand and
we all stepped out in faith for the family of Extreme Christmas I had no
idea where we were going!!! Three separate days of very hard work by a
minimum of 15 people each time, a dumpster filled, a house painted and
cleaned, financially contributions from so many, love poured out by over
70 people the night of Extreme Christmas...lives changed......forever.
The phone call came on Christmas day to
say "Catherine we have never know the kind of love your church has shown
our family in our life....." One Family.......one body.......lives
changed forever. Why.................because we all took a "step" of
faith into the water and God made a way.
Never say "no way" because God will
always make "a way" for His work to be done! Thank you for "stepping"
out together,
Catherine

A
Flour Bluff family is giving thanks to a local church youth group.
Thursday night members of St. John's United Methodist Church here in
Corpus Christi delivered furniture, dishes, groceries, and gifts to a
woman and her 4 grand- children. Who, frankly, needed some help.
Over the past few days, members of St. John's United Methodist Church have been helping the Albe family of Flour Bluff. Thursday night the
church's youth group made the spirit of Christmas come alive.
More than 3 dozen youth group members cleaned. Fixed up, and decorated this Flour Bluff home. All to make the holidays that much sweeter for one grandmother and her 4 grand children.
"This is awesome, during the
Christmas season some of the greatest gifts you can ever receive is the ones we give", said youth minister. Organizers say each year the youth group picks a coastal bend family to help. This year's family has had a tough time, as one of the kids suffers from cancer. The church also provided the family with a new dining table, dishes, and brand new bedding. The lights, they were donated as well.
